December 12, 2016

Oh, the Christmas season in Miami is like nowhere else in the country: a place where you can do your last-minute shopping in shorts and spend Christmas Day at the beach, if you so desire.
Another thing you can do to your heart’s content: Party, party … and then party some more.
Here are just some of the many Christmas/holiday-related events you can enjoy in and around the 3-0-5 this month:

Wild Holidays at Jungle Island

Lasts through Jan. 8. Hours are 5 p.m.–midnight. $33 for adults and $22 for children.

Ritz Kids Family Gingerbread House Workshop

Sure, you can pick up a store-bought version to assemble and decorate at home, but there’s nothing like a real gingerbread house to get you in the holiday spirit. If you’re a parent (or just like hanging out with your younger relatives!), take the youngsters to the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach for an afternoon of decorating with Santa’s helpers (a.k.a. the property’s talented chefs). 1 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach; 786-276-4000.
